Fishing Report – Striper Fishing Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel - Part II
Friday, December 12th, 2008
After our hard fishing on day one we decided to try some old school techniques and started working the tunnels. It didn’t take long to find some fish. We started doing drifts with the current over the tube, keeping the bait very close to the bottom and we had 40 before long. Of course the technique will empty your tackle box very quickly if you are not careful. You get hung quite a bit and loose about half of all hang ups…but that’s part of it I guess.
Over all it turned out to be a great trip. Our numbers were not as high as they normally would be but we still ended up with around 180 fish during our 4 trips.
This picture was taken a the bait shop one night. We did not catch this one but got a picture anyway.
Thanks for reading!

Please practice catch and release whenever possible and remember the large fish don’t taste any better than smaller ones. Take a picture and let the big ones go back to catch again later.
